How to schedule a shutdown operation’s using MS DOS Batch File

Some time you need a schedule shutdown but you do not success to it. Wouldn’t it be nice if your windows XP machine is automatically shutdown when you schedule a shutdown operation by your hand?

Microsoft Corporation includes this program on your machine called “shutdown.exe” which can shutdown your windows xp machines. To set a schedule task on your Windows xp machine you follows the following step. After start schedule shutdown you will download this batch file to make this process is too easy.

You first unzip this zip before run it. It is a shutdown program, your machine is automatically shutdown when you double click or run it.

· Step1: go to start on your start bar and click it. Then you go All Programs option, next Accessories, System Tools and then click Scheduled Tasks.

Start> All Programs> Accessories> System Tools> Scheduled Tasks

Then you show the following window in your screen.

· Step2: then you right click on “Add Schedule Task” or Double-click “Add Schedule Task” to launch the “Schedule Task” Wizard.

· Step3: then you click Next Button and then clicks Brows button then you select the
destination directory where you download this batch file on your local disk drive.

· Step3: when you select the batch file then you go two step on the following wizard and type a task name then press and choose a schedule.

· Next you enter your username and password and click Next.

You set a time and date to schedule this shutdown process, and click next to go next step.

· In the next screen you enter your ‘User Name’ and ‘Password’, then click Next and ‘Finish’ Button.

Now your schedule process operation is complete with Microsoft command prompt batch file. This operation is work with ms dos batch command prompt and windows shutdown utility.
